Life stress is one of those things that creeps up on you. You’re sailing happily along, and then before you know it, you’re snapping at people, staying awake worrying at night, feeling ill with anxiety gnawing away at you. And those are just the obvious symptom of stress. The long-term raised cortisol levels come with their own set of unpleasant side effects, like immune suppression, digestion disruption, reduced sex drive and more. Just from this short list, we can see that stress management is very important to our daily lives.
Stress management isn’t something that you switch on and off when you need it. Good stress management techniques are part of life, protecting you from the ravages of stress when life gets tough.
